Lesley Notari

Lesley Notari is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She has completed a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree with a Major in Psychology from the University of Toronto at Mississauga.

Ms. Notari has ten years of experience as an Occupational Therapist working predominantly with people who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents, their insurers and lawyers, providing Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment for individuals having sustained non-catastrophic (and catastrophic) impairments including, attendant care needs assessment, OT education sessions, prescribing appropriate treatment (e.g. adaptive equipment), paper reviews, discharge planning, case management, and return to work planning and implementation.

Prior to commencing her Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy, Ms. Notari worked for one year as a research assistant at the University of Toronto at Mississauga in the Psychology department, which involved running subjects in various experiments being conducted on understanding speech and the elderly. Ms. Notari also has a unique business background having spent part of her career working in a sales capacity as an assessment consultant. This involved educating and training Occupational Therapists on the use of standardized assessments through in-person meetings, presentations, and webinars in a variety of clinical settings including hospital, schools, and private practices. As such, Ms. Notari has extensive knowledge of occupational therapy assessment tools for the assessment of physical, cognitive, social, and developmental skills for individuals ranging in age from birth to older adults. Ms. Notari has guest lectured on standardized assessment tools to second year OT Master students at Western University and has also been a guest speaker at York University on a cognitive intervention tool during Neuropsychological Rounds.

Ms. Notari is currently a practicing occupational therapist with Rehab Results Inc. providing services in Markham and the greater Toronto area.
