Melvine Baird

B.Sc., DC, CACCP, CCLCP
Dr. Melvine Baird is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and is a member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO). She holds certification from the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP). She has completed the requirements as a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner (CCLCP) through the International Commission on Healthcare Certification (ICHCC), and completes Life Care Plans for individuals with a variety of clinical conditions including, chronic pain, orthopaedic injuries, spinal cord injuries and acquired brain injuries. She has experience both in the motor vehicle sector and medical malpractice. Melvine has completed the Case Management Certification Program through McMaster University as well as the Mental Health First Aid Certification through the Mental Health Commission of Canada. She has a case management practice focusing on individuals who have sustained catastrophic injuries and has experience working with individuals of all ages with a variety of clinical backgrounds. She has experience working with individuals with chronic pain, multiple orthopaedic trauma, spinal cord injuries, amputations and acquired brain injuries. Melvine also conducts Independent Examinations and File Reviews. Melvine is a certified spin instructor and in her spare time, she enjoys teaching spin classes, cycling, kayaking, knitting, gardening, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

Allen Gilchrist

Mr. Allen Gilchrist is a duly qualified and registered Occupational Therapist and is a member (# G0405873) in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. This therapist graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2002 with a B.A. from the faculty of Applied Health Sciences. This therapist also graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a M.Sc. in Occupational Therapy in 2004. He holds the following certifications: ARCON Evaluator, Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) provider, AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 4th Edition. Other continuing education includes completion of Level 1 and Level 2 Certification Courses offered by Brock University in association with the Ontario Brain Injury Association, completion of Neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) and Canadian Bobath introductory courses, and attendance at conferences focused on neurobehavioural rehabilitation and cognitive rehabilitation for acquired brain injury.

Laura MacPhee

MSc OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)
Laura MacPhee is a fully qualified Occupational Therapist, licensed to practice in Canada. She is a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). She has been providing comprehensive occupational therapy assessment and intervention to both young adults and adults with complex orthopaedic injuries, brain injuries, and mental health for over 10 years. She has completed Brock University Cognitive Interventions for Adults with Brain Injury (Level 2), and is certified in both BrainFx and Cogmed Working Memory Training, as well as the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP), and was nominated for the OBIA Award of Excellence as Case Manager of the Year in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2024.

Jackie Yates-Cohen

Physiotherapist

Jackie Yates-Cohen graduated with Honours in Physical Therapy from University of Toronto in 1995. Prior to that, she graduated from Guy’s Hospital, School of Physiotherapy, London, England, in1982 with a Diploma from the Royal Society of Physiotherapy. Since graduating from University of Toronto, she has specialized in the areas of Musculo-skeletal and neurological disorders. She has extensive experience in functional testing, assessment and treatment of clients injured in motor vehicle accidents, injured workers, post-operative clients employers as well as injured athletes.
She has extensive experience in performing physical demands analysis of jobs in a wide variety of employment settings, both in the public and private settings and using this knowledge to assist injured clients reintegrate into the work place. In this role she also has specialised knowledge in workplace modifications and job coaching to assist workers in a successful and safe return to work.
She has completed as well as taught numerous post graduations course in her area of her specialisation.
She has been called as an expert witness.
In her spare time Jackie enjoys playing golf and is an avid runner. She is the proud grandmother of three granddaughters.
