Hazel graduated from McGill University with a BSc in occupational therapy and has over 30 years’ experience. She grew up in Montréal and she passed her French proficiency examination. She completed her MBA at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.
Hazel Wood owns and operates Rehab Results Inc. Hazel is internationally certified in Impairment and Disability Rating with the American Board of Forensic Professionals, is a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner under the International Commission on Health Care Certification, and is a Roy Matheson Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist. She successfully completed The Arthritis Society Training Program for assessing arthritis and Levels 1 and 2 Brain Injury Certification Courses offered by Brock University in association with the Ontario Brain Injury Association.
She has been a health care manager and clinician in hospital and community settings working with adults, adolescents, and children with a variety of conditions. Her areas of clinical interest include traumatic brain injury, mental health, chronic pain, spinal cord injury, arthritis, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Hazel is a member of the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) board of directors. She is a member of the OSOT Auto Insurance Sector Team. Hazel was the Treasurer for the Alliance of Community Medical and Rehabilitation Providers. She has done strategic consulting for a number of not-for-profit agencies including Bone and Joint Decade Canada. In September 2010, she was awarded the honour of international Ambassador for the Bone and Joint Decade.
Hazel enjoys sailing, skiing, rollerblading, reading murder mysteries and spending time with family and friends.
